Microsoft is reshaping Copilot around three work modes—Home, Code and Autopilot—bringing chat, app-building and persistent AI agents into one experience for Microsoft 365 users.

What changed

Home combines Copilot Chat and Cowork with Word, Excel and PowerPoint access
Code builds apps, dashboards and automations from plain-language requests
Autopilot is a persistent work agent, formerly known as Scout
Microsoft says Home and Code will roll out through its Frontier program in the coming weeks
Long-running agent work and frontier models use usage-based billing
